Franco’s Words

“I’m really excited to be heading into a race week for the first time since December,” Franco said, when speaking ahead of his return to action.“I’m very grateful for this opportunity and now it’s time to speed up the process and show what I’m capable of in the car.
“Italy is a very special place for me for many reasons. It’s where I made my Formula 1 debut in Monza last year. And now, I’m heading to Imola for my first race with Alpine.
“I have great memories here: my first win in Formula Renault was at Monza in 2020, and my first victories in both Formula 3 and Formula 2 came at Imola in 2022 and 2024.
“It’s a track I really enjoy — with legendary corners — and I’m thrilled to be driving here in a Formula 1 car for the first time. “I’ll work hard with the team and try to get up to speed as quickly as possible to help achieve the weekend’s goals. “It’s been an incredible few months with everyone at Enstone, with TPC running in the 2023 car and plenty of simulator time. I feel ready and prepared.”

The Track: Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari

Imola is steeped in Formula 1 history. At 4.9 kilometres per lap and 63 laps in total, it’s a tight, technical, and fast circuit featuring legendary corners like Acque Minerali and Piratella.
Precision and qualifying pace can shape the outcome of the entire weekend.

Franco’s Recent History at Imola

While this will be Franco’s first Formula 1 race at Imola, he already knows what it feels like to win here.
In 2022, he claimed his first Formula 3 victory at the circuit. And last year, he delivered an epic last-lap overtake on Paul Aron to secure his first Formula 2 win.
Imola has played a pivotal role in Franco’s path to F1. Now, a new challenge awaits, as he prepares to make his elite motorsport bow at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

What to Watch For

How will Franco adapt to the Alpine across his first full race weekend?
How will he handle qualifying and the Sunday race start?
Can he and the team fine-tune the setup at one of the most demanding circuits on the calendar?

Rain Incoming?

The weather in Imola is always unpredictable. Tyre strategy could change at any moment, and Franco and the team will need to stay sharp with every decision.
