A brief pause in the Formula 1 calendar means we can take a moment to look ahead at the campaign’s coming months.
There are a host of scintillating Grands Prix on the cards over the next few rounds of 2025 — beginning with the Miami GP in a week’s time.
That trip stateside is swiftly followed by a run of European events, as visits to Imola, Monaco and Barcelona take us through May and into early summer.
But what are the key things to take along with you, if you’re attending one of the remaining 19 races this season?
Whether you’re an F1 novice or a Grand Prix veteran, here are some essential items to bring down to the track…
Dress for the conditions
The Formula 1 season throws up all kinds of weather conditions, so make sure to dress appropriately for the location in question.
We often see rain in Montreal and Spa, for example, while races in Baku and Mexico City are typically held against a sunnier backdrop.
That means you’ll want a baseball cap, or a waterproof jacket, depending on your chosen destination!
Similarly, visitors to the United Kingdom would be unwise not to have an umbrella in their luggage (even in July!), but don’t forget your suncream if you’re spending the weekend in Qatar or Abu Dhabi during the campaign’s final furlong.
Footwear focus
Grand Prix attendees get through plenty of walking during a race weekend, so you’re definitely going to need a comfortable pair of shoes.
Formula 1 venues are surprisingly large, meaning you’ll be covering a fair bit of ground — regardless of where your ticket is located.
Factor in some queuing for food and walking around the track, and it’s not hard to see why comfortable footwear is a must.
See all the action (in comfort)
If you want to get a closer view of the action, why not bring a pair of binoculars with you? It can be a great way of picking up on the finer details during a race.
Don’t forget to take along a cushion if you’re in the grandstand, too, or a portable folding chair to avoid standing for too long in general admission.
Stay powered up
Taking photos, recording footage, checking the race results… there are a whole host of reasons why you could be on your phone throughout any given Grand Prix.
The last thing you want is to run out of battery at a crucial moment, so make sure to bring a portable power bank for a potential emergency charge.
The Franco Colapinto app!
Talking of using your phone, we’ve got loads of great content on the FC43 website and app!
From GP-themed collectables to competitions, videos and features, it’s a great way to stay up to date with all things Franco while you’re on location at this season’s races.
