One of Franco's best races in F1 and a cooldown lap we'll never forget
Franco finished P7 at the inaugural Madrid Grand Prix.
He started ninth, overtook Piastri and held his position to the end in one of his best results of the year. 6 points for him, 6 points for Alpine. And a cooldown lap that is already part of FranClub43 history.

But the race didn't end at the finish line. On the cooldown lap, a marshal was waiting at the side of the track with an Argentine flag. Franco took it and carried it for almost half a lap of the newest circuit in Formula 1.
What Franco said
"Being able to carry an Argentine flag on a Formula 1 car for the second time, the first was in Buenos Aires, but now carrying it here in a real race, after a good result, is very special. A marshal handed it to me and was waiting there to give it to me. I'm incredibly grateful for that gesture."
