Weekend summary
Franco wrapped up the Miami Grand Prix with a strong P8, which later became P7, scoring 6 important points in a weekend that demanded constant adaptation, both in pace and car management. From the single practice session through to the race, the focus was on optimising technical details, improving balance, and executing at key moments.
👏 Weekend Highlights
The team worked intensively on car setup, particularly in critical areas such as low-speed balance, tyre overheating control, and stability under heavy braking. During the sessions, Franco reported understeer in slow corners and traction issues, leading to multiple setup changes, including front wing adjustments and brake bias management (= braking balance: percentage distribution of braking force between the front and rear axles). Despite these challenges, progress was clear. Long-run pace improved, and the car responded better in race conditions, allowing him to remain best of the rest, just behind the top three teams.

The team remained highly active throughout the weekend…
Making quick decisions based on Franco’s feedback. Different engine modes, aerodynamic configurations, and cooling approaches were tested to optimise performance. Key procedures were also practised, such as pit stops without launch and start simulations, showing a clear focus on improving operational execution.
“It was a positive weekend in terms of learning. We made several changes to the car and managed to take a step forward in the race. There are still things to improve, but we are heading in the right direction,” Franco said after the race.
From the team, progress was also highlighted: “The result reflects the work done throughout the weekend. Execution was clean and race pace was competitive within the midfield.”
🔜 Next race
F1 returns to Canada, a track Franco already knows and where he will aim to keep building on this progress. The Montreal Grand Prix takes place over the weekend of 22–24 May.
