Circuit: Hungaroring, Budapest 24–26 July 2026

Race results:

🥇 P1: Lando Norris, McLaren — 1:39:56.180 🥈 P2: Max Verstappen, Red Bull Racing — 1:40:11.260 🥉 P3: Kimi Antonelli, Mercedes — 1:40:14.908 🇫🇷 P12: Pierre Gasly 🇦🇷 P15: Franco Colapinto

Franco closed the Hungarian Grand Prix in P15, ending a difficult weekend that started with car damage in FP2 but finished with a steady recovery race.

Highlights

FP3: Franco was the first driver out on track at the start of the session, showing his determination to recover the running time lost after the FP2 incident. Finished P15 with the car fully restored.

Qualifying: Q2 again for Franco, finishing P13.

Race

Start: P13 (new medium tyres)

Result: P15, fastest lap: 1:22.748 (hard tyres)

What Franco said

A tough weekend that Franco handled with maturity. "It has been a tricky weekend for us. We clearly need to improve our performance to be able to fight with the teams ahead. Now we take the summer break to recharge and come back stronger at Zandvoort."
