🇲🇽 We’re heading to Mexico City

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez welcomes F1 with something no other circuit can replicate: a baseball stadium converted into a grandstand inside the circuit itself and a Latin American passion that will be felt from the very first lap on Friday.

Franco arrives here determined to score points at one of the circuits where the atmosphere can make all the difference. And the FranClub43 will be closer than at any other point this year.

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez

Located 2,240 metres above sea level, it’s the highest Grand Prix on the calendar. That altitude has direct consequences on car performance: engines produce less power, brakes work differently and the wings need more downforce to compensate for the less dense air.

Its main characteristics:

The main straight: very long, where the cars reach enormous speeds despite the altitude

The stadium section: the most spectacular section on the calendar, where 40,000 people literally surround the track in one of the most iconic images of the year

The Hairpin: the slowest corner on the circuit and the main overtaking zone, where the perfect braking point can make all the difference

The technical corners of sector 2: where a lot of time can be lost or gained with the right setup

⚡ What changes with the altitude

Mexico City’s altitude directly affects energy management under the new regulations. With less dense air, the combustion engines produce less power, making the electrical system even more important. The teams that best manage the balance between the combustion engine and the electrical system could have a real advantage.
