🇦🇹 Race-free week!

What’s happening between Montreal and Spielberg?
There’s no race this week, but here’s how Franco and his team are getting ready before F1 returns to Europe for the Austrian GP next weekend.
📅 When and where is the next race?
The Austrian Grand Prix will take place at the Red Bull Ring, in Spielberg, from 27 to 29 June 2025.
🧩 What do the teams do between Canada and Austria?
This period is key to fine-tuning both technical and logistical details: 🔍 Post‑Canada analysis
Engineers review telemetry, strategy and performance from the first ten races to identify any weak spots.
🛠️ Repairs and updates
Key components (such as the gearbox, suspension, and cooling systems, for example) are assessed to define what upgrades are needed.
🚚 European logistics
Materials must be transported from Montreal, the paddock assembled, and the team adapted to the alpine conditions of the Red Bull Ring.
🖥️ Simulator and training
Franco and his Alpine teammate complete “Driver-in-the-Loop” sessions for the Spielberg layout and continue physical training, likely focused on altitude.
🧠 Strategic planning
The team will organise tyre selection (C3, C4 and C5) and define the pit stop strategy.
🏁 What can we expect from Austria?
📍 The Red Bull Ring sits at 700 m above sea level, with fast corners and elevation changes – this should be a fun one! 📈 The opening sections allow for plenty of overtaking, thanks to slipstream effects on the straights and other low-downforce areas. 🚧 Track limits have been reinforced with gravel and blue paint to prevent penalties for running wide.
This technical and demanding track will be the perfect place for Franco and Alpine to continue building on their 2025 progress.
The break between Canada and Austria is essential to get the car ready, define the strategy and adapt every detail to the challenges of this circuit. In Spielberg, the team aims to put all their hard work into action and keep moving forward in the championship.
