The British Grand Prix was first held in 1926 and became an annual event from 1948, joining the F1 World Championship from its very first season in 1950.
The race takes place at Silverstone Circuit, near Northampton, and is confirmed on the calendar until 2034.
After alternating with Aintree and Brands Hatch, Silverstone was established as the official home of the race, receiving major updates since the 1980s to improve safety and speed.
Today, it retains its high-speed character, with legendary corners like Maggotts, Becketts and Abbey.
