In the world of Formula 1, there are fans… and then there are Las Tías de Franco 💙
A unique group that started as a joke on social media and has now become a true institution within the #FranClub43
It all began when someone said: “We’re Franco Colapinto’s 40+ fans”. Within 24 hours, they already had a name, a logo, and a group chat full of new friends.
Today, they are almost 500 members spread across the globe 🌍: from Argentina, Chile, Brazil, Mexico, Nicaragua, Canada, Italy… and anywhere the heart beats for Franco.
🚗 More than fans: a community
What began as humour turned into a network of support and shared knowledge:- They share technical race insights.- They organise trips and meet up at circuits.- They send alfajores, letters, and messages of encouragement.- They post some of the best edits on Instagram and X, like these three favourites of ours:
And they are always, always, ready to shut down any hate with kindness and facts.
📌 3 iconic moments from the Aunties
1. The birth of the group — from a simple comment to a logo and an active chat in less than a day.2. Franco’s birthday video 🎂 — so special that even his dad watched it!3. The specialised subgroups — Garage 43 for technical chats, Franco con mates for memes, Los Amigos del 43 for the uncles/men in the group, and Notitía for verified news. All part of their impressive WhatsApp community.
