🥹 From tears to passion: how Api became a Franco fan
This is the first edition of Fan Friday, a new series where we’ll share the most emotional, funny, or unexpected stories from the #FranClub43 community every Friday
And we couldn’t think of a better way to start than with the message we received from Api, a fan who lives every GP as if it were the first… and who discovered Franco through a moment most would rather forget!
“Well, honestly, I started watching F1 because of Franco and I loved it. I started to enjoy motorsport and now I want to start karting.”
It all began with a viral clip that broke her heart:
“Funny thing is I discovered Franco because his crash in Brazil popped up on my feed and I felt so bad I started crying… and I’ve been a fan ever since.”
Since that day, Api hasn’t missed a single session — even during class:
“I watch all the practice sessions (sometimes even while I’m at school), qualifying and races, always supporting Franco through the good and the bad.”
And just like many of us, she was overwhelmed with emotion when Alpine made the big announcement:
“I even have a video of myself crying when they announced him as Alpine reserve driver — and later as a full-time driver. Those were the best days of my life.”
We didn’t ask for the video, because honestly… we all felt it, right?
