📌 Key facts from the F1 2026 calendar:
🏁 First race: 6–8 March in Melbourne, Australia. 🏁 Final race: 4–6 December in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. 🌍 Total season span: 39 weeks (one more than in 2025). 🧭 More efficient scheduling: better geographical order to reduce unnecessary travel.
🚀 What’s new for 2026?
🗓️ A high-voltage season finale
Five races in the final six weeks: Mexico, Brazil, Las Vegas, Qatar and Abu Dhabi. A fast-paced end to a thrilling season.
🔁 Date adjustments to improve logistics
- Australia continues as the season opener, to allow for the Bahrein and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix to take place in April, after Ramadan. - Japan moves earlier, breaking away from the traditional Asian triple-header. - Miami and Canada now take place in May to smooth the European transition.
🏙️ Spain will now host two Grands Prix
- The race in Madrid will be the new addition of the year, on a street circuit in the middle of the city, that takes place 11–13 September. - The Barcelona-Catalunya GP remains in June, though under a rebranded title yet to be confirmed.
A huge win for Spanish-speaking fans!
And as many are asking on social media… could Argentina return someday? 🇦🇷
A new technical era begins for F1
2026 introduces a major regulation shift: ✈️ Active aerodynamics. ⚙️ 100% sustainable fuel-powered engines. 🔧 Alpine (Franco’s team) will switch to Mercedes engines to boost performance.
🌟 A global season with legendary new brands
With 24 races across five continents, and newcomers Audi & Cadillac as constructors, and Ford as a new power unit supplier, 2026 promises to be a season to remember.
💙 For the FranClub43: emotion and nostalgia
🇮🇹 Imola drops off the calendar
A key circuit in Franco’s career — where he secured his first F3 and F2 victories — won’t feature in 2026.
A tough goodbye that hits close to home for his fans. 💔
🔥 But key circuits are still on the calendar:
- Bahrain, where he scored his first points in F2. - Baku, where he earned his first Top 10 in F1.
